Nollywood stars join President Goodluck Jonathan at Lagos campaign rally

A slew of Nollywood personalities were on hand to show their support for President Goodluck Jonathan as his campaign train hit Lagos yesterday.

President Goodluck Jonathan held his campaign rally at the Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos yesterday Thursday, January 8 and a slew of Nollywood stars were there to endorse his candidacy.

Actresses, Kate Henshaw and Monalisa Chinda, veteran singer, Onyeka Owenu, actor, Joseph Benjamin and President of the Actors’ Guide of Nigeria, Ibinabo Fiberisima were all there to show their support for the President.

Segun Arinze and filmmaker, Fidelis Duker were also among the Nollywood personalities who were at the campaign rally to throw their weight behind President Goodluck Jonathan.

The president has over the years enjoyed the support of Nigerian entertainment personalities. During his 2011 campaign, a host of entertainment figures campaigned for him including singer, D’banj  who even dedicated the remix of his hit song “Fall in Love” to him.

For the upcoming election, rapper Neato C and Nollywood filmmakerCharles Novia have already endorsed him.
